  • FRIDAY, MARCH 21

    SOCK BURNING & OYSTER ROAST

    "Burning of the Socks" is a unique Chesapeake Bay tradition believed to have started 45 or so years ago near Annapolis. Held around the Spring Equinox, participants burn their old socks to mark the end of winter and start of the boating season. We are hosting a bonfire this Friday at Sloop Point in Kinsale for all club members. A handful of generous neighbors are bringing over Yeocomico River oysters to roast, and we'll have fish sandwiches as well. BYOB, BYOsocks.

    TOP DECK DINNER

    All Top Deck members are invited to a cocktail hour and dinner featuring drinks & dishes from the Canary Islands. Katy and Josh spent time there last November and are excited to share some of their favorite things. Details sent directly to Top Deck members.

    YOGA & PILATES RIVER RETREAT

    The ladies behind Luuma Yoga, Blue Honey, and Motion Studios are joining forces once again to host a day of movement, fun, food and river time here at the marina. From 10AM - 5PM sign up to take part in pilates, yoga, a catered lunch, and cruising on the Yeocomico. This has been a wonderful event in the past drawing participants from near and far.

    EASTER CELEBRATION IN KINSALE

    The local Fire Dept hosts an Easter Egg Hunt starting at 2PM in the Kinsale Green, followed by firetruck rides around town. Join us at the old bank starting at 1PM for goodies and fun before the hunt begins! If you’re in town, be sure to visit the historic Great House on Easter morning for a Sunrise Service, open to all.

    WATERMAN’S MARKET 1 | 3PM-6PM

    We'll be hosting 3 Waterman's Markets this year, with the first coming up in April. Join us for a fun mix of vendors set up in the slips and backyard from 3-6PM. The Waterman's Markets are held to showcase local seafood, along with artists, artisans, food & beverage, small businesses, and non-profits. They're a great way to get the community together by the river and meet our creative neighbors! These events are free and open to all.

    DC BOAT SHOW

    The Slips and Yeocomico Club will have a booth at the DC Boat Show again this year. Come visit us at National Harbor, where they're hosting a weekend full of boating-related fun.

    KINSALE STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL

    Every year on the Saturday before Mother’s Day the Kinsale Foundation hosts vendors and activities in the Kinsale Green to celebrate all the beautiful spring things! Find us with a pop up in the old bank. 10AM - 3PM.

    MOTHER’S DAY AT THE CLUB

    Josh and Katy will be preparing Mother's Day brunch options so you can spoil the mamas with a beautiful spread - to go or to enjoy here at the club! Details to follow.

    Back in the swing of things! The pool will open on Friday of Memorial Day Weekend and Lucky’s will be up on the roof deck with some favorite drinks.

    MDW EVENTS IN KINSALE

    Start the day with the Market 5K - lineup begins at 7:30AM - for a beautiful course that takes you across the bridge, winding through historic properties and Rivah Vineyards. Then celebrate with breakfast burritos and drinks at the club! Dueling Pianos starts at 6PM at the Kinsale Market.

    CLEAN THE BAY DAY

    Join club members on the morning of June 7th to clean up nearby roadways and riverbanks as part of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s annual “Clean the Bay Day.” We’ll start by meeting at the marina at 9AM with donuts & coffee then break out and clean up!

    FATHER’S DAY AT THE CLUB

    Every year we like to celebrate the papas with an afternoon of special menu items and activities, so bring them on out for “Wings & Swings” this Father’s Day! The menu will feature chicken wings, ribs, sides, transfusions, john daly’s and cheap beers! Golf games by the river from 12-2PM.

    WATERMAN’S MARKET 2 | 10AM-2PM

    Our second Waterman’s Market of the year falls on the official first day of summer! Come by between 10AM-2PM for vendors, seafood and riverside fun. Rockfish & the Rivermen will be playing tunes and TOGA’s kicking off the day with an Oyster 101 workshop on how to start your own oyster garden.

    4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION

    Kinsale loves to go big for the 4th! Food, bars, boat parade, and the best fireworks show right over the Yeocomico River. The club will be hosting a number of activities throughout the weekend, so stay tuned!

    WATERMAN’S MARKET 3 | 2PM-6PM

    Our final Waterman’s Market will feature music, food, and a lineup of awesome vendors once again. Rappahannock Bicycle Company is leading a bike trip in the morning. Alex Kerns of Low Water Bridge Band will be hear ripping tunes from the floating dock!

    JIMMY BUFFETT PARTY

    Put on your favorite Hawaiian shirt and head over for margaritas & cheeseburgers in paradise. On Sept 1st two years ago Jimmy Buffett left this world, and we’re honoring his legendary way of celebrating boating, eating, drinking and summer fun this Labor Day Weekend.

    Head to Kinsale for the 48th Annual Kinsale Day in the Park from 11AM-4PM, then we’ll be hosting “Sayonara Summer” for a sweet sendoff to Summer 2025, with your favorites on the grill, Rockfish & the Rivermen playing in the backyard, and fireworks at 8PM!

    Black Friday Chili Cook Off & Cold Plunge

    Head over for our 2nd Annual Black Friday Chili Cook Off and help decide who takes home the trophy this year! The tasting starts at 1PM - gather around the fire barrels, listen to music from the Westmoreland High School marching band, and enjoy the afternoon by the river!

    Christmas in Kinsale

    Every first Saturday in December the Kinsale Foundation and Cople District Volunteer Fire Dept truly make it the most wonderful time of year with their Christmas in Kinsale celebration. You can find us in the Old Bank where Katy is running a festive bar and holiday cocktail making class at 2PM.

    KWF Auction & Oyster Roast

    The Kinsale Waterfront Fund was established earlier this year to celebrate and help preserve our river way of life. The first fundraiser is taking place on Dec 13th with a live auction and oyster roast at the marina. Proceeds will be going to sailing and river camp scholarships for local children, as well as Kinsale’s annual 4th of July event.

    Throughout the day enjoy activities in the park, hosted by the Kinsale Foundation as part of their 49th annual Kinsale Day celebration. Starting at 5PM join us at the marina for food, music and a sendoff to Summer! Fireworks cap off the night over the river, thanks to the Fire Dept.
