One of our beautiful and historic local gems is the Yeocomico Church, just down the road from the club. The church was first constructed in 1655 and later replaced with today's structure in 1706, serving as a place of worship for many interesting parishioners over the years, including George Washington's mother. Our neighbor Dave Butt has been helping to lead the recent renovation of the church and he gives a wonderful tour combining the history, architecture and recent discoveries. He's graciously agreed to hold a tour for the Yeocomico Club on Saturday, April 27th at 10AM. For those who haven't seen the church yet, or those who have been going all their lives, there's much to learn and I hope you can join us!
